Shrinking space in Lebanon: A look at the repression of the social movement between 17 October 2019 to 30 October 2020
Publication Date: December, 2020
Period Covered: December, 2020

The Lebanese state has been disproportionately repressing collective actions since the start of the last mobilisation cycle in October 2019. This infographic aims to shed light on this increasingly shrinking space on the one hand, and on protesters’ mobilisations against these violations on the other hand.

* Data is based on Lebanon Support’s Map of Collective Actions (https://civilsociety-centre.org/cap/collective_action), and Map of State Security Responses (https://civilsociety-centre.org/cap/state_response).

This infographic is developed in partnership with CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE), part of their national campaigns against shrinking civic space.
